 MOOD SEDUCTION

Synopsis

“What Gustav Mahler took one hour or more to say, Tchaikovsky could say in five minutes”
Albert C. Johnston, Jr. 1980

This score was originally conceived as a symphonic tempestuous dance featuring a solo exotic dancer with multi-colored lighting, and even incense bellowing from the concert hall walls!

It has many shifting changes in the rhythm, cadence, accents, and key. This is intentionally done to enhance the exoticism while repeating the same theme throughout. Particular attention should be paid to the pulsating rhythm of the score. Emphasis on the canonic imitation beginning at section H. There are a few changes in the score that are no on the recording. The score should be written to be the final version of the work.

The score, with whatever corrections necessary, stands on its own as a very original piece for an orchestra. Of course, it could be dramatized to a feature role in a movie, or it could make a sensational television extravaganza.

The parts are available upon request as written on this orchestration. The score and orchestration have been copyrighted and re-copyrighted by the composer, who currently holds all of the rights to the musical score. It is not yet published. The composer is a permanent member of the American Society of Composer and Publishers (ASCAP) and is open to any suggestions or recommendations.

Thanking you in advance for your consideration and interest in the score. The recording is not included at this time, but is available (for piano) upon request.
